Applications are invited for Future Startup’s internships 2016-2017. We have a couple open internship positions for people interested in business and tech journalism and in business and technology industry in Bangladesh.
The program is designed to provide work experience for promising business and tech journalists/writers/students or would-be business and tech journalists, who will spend six months at Future Startup writing about business and technology industry in Bangladesh.
The 24 weeks long internship enables young people to think critically, become change-makers and helps them in building valuable connections with entrepreneurs, startups, doers, designers and makers of all kind.
The internship program assists the participants to become capable of creating powerful digital content and develop communication skill while preparing them for the most exciting career options.
This is an incredible learning opportunity for journalists/students who are interested in business and new media journalism. The program is designed to train passionate people in business and digital media journalism.
All interns receive a certificate of work experience after the successful completion of their internship. Rigorous training and feedback are provided to help them improve. If you perform exceptionally well, you might just be considered for a higher position at Future Startup.

Responsibilities
Beats: as an intern, your responsibility will be to cover news covering tech and telecom, hotel and tourism, and Financial industry in Bangladesh. In short, you will be responsible for helping to find, investigate, prepare and report interesting stories on these industries in Bangladesh.

Job nature: Part time [5 hours, 6 days week]
Flexible office hours, you can choose your office hours based on your convenience but this is not a remote working position.

We are looking for
Education: Undergraduate or graduate students with the passion for writing and storytelling.
Skills: Must have excellent writing and storytelling skills and attention to details, able to work under pressure and capable of maintaining short deadlines.
Personal Characteristics: Lives and breathes writing and storytelling. Passionate about digital media, entrepreneurship, technology and business journalism. Hungry to always be learning. Have a sense of commitment and can deal with tight deadlines.
